
Marc Malin and Paula Rhae’s Roadside Distraction
Paula Rhae McDonald has been writing songs and playing in bands since she was 11 years old. Her band The Santa Fe Blues Divas played to packed houses. She has appeared many times on the Santa Fe Bandstand series and has been nominated multiple times for New Mexico Music Awards for Best Vocal Performance, Best Country and Best Blues album.
She has recorded 3 albums and is currently collaborating on a new album of original songs at the Kitchen Sink Studio with Marc Malin, The New album titled “Love Can Shine Through” is a collection of uplifting songs about finding love during the pandemic.
Marc Malin is a seasoned songwriter, performer and multi instrumentalist. He has released three albums with The Country Blues Revue that garnered multiple nominations at The New Mexico Music Awards for Best Blues and won in the Best Country category. He also won The Akademia Music Award in Hollywood CA for Best Blues Album (A Minor Bit Blue) and has also been on The Santa Fe Bandstand multiple times as well as playing the Thirsty Ear Festivals and Silver City Blues Fest.
Sounds of Central New Mexico is hosted by Bill Cochran, a musician with the Tijeras-based band, Reverend E & The Vagrants.
