Michael Glenn  was five when he came across an old piano in the garage of his family's home in Northern California.  The piano amazed him with the many ways the notes could be harmonized, how the vibrations of the piano strings combined.  He taught himself to play the piano and other instruments such as the guitar and banjo, and he learned to write his songs  from his heart, in his own way.

In the years to come, trouble, abandonment and abuse, wounded him deeply, but the piano came to his rescue and provided a way for him to express his troubled feelings and hurt emotions. The song "My Explanation” on his CD titled, "Gone But Not Forgotten" is just that - - his explanation of why his relationships didn’t work, how much he loved and cared but his storms always got in the way.  This CD is about starting over and in a way its an Invitation to love again, to try again and not to give up.  All songs are written and performed by Michael Glenn,  a work of emotional healing that speaks to the heart. Michael believes if they can hear it they can feel it, and if it is felt it can be known.
“
He spends many hours in contemplation, meditation and watching the birds come and go to the feeders in an old oak grove outside his window. Michael loves the beauty of nature abundant in forests and meadows of the Manzano Mountains.  He is working on a book of poems and prose and has a second CD on the back burner. It will be called "Heaven Sent."
