MINUTES KXNM BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING - MARCH 21, 2018

PRESENT:  Art Swenka, Bill Simms, Joyce McKinnis, Ladd Hagmaier, Jo Onarheim, Norm Onarheim, John Griego, Barbara Kinney, Dixie Swenka, Randy Wright, Peggy Schwebach

NOT PRESENT:  Rhoda Geduld, Pat Lincoln, Matt Page

GUEST:  Nancy Brockerman

The meeting was called to order by the president, Art Swenka at 2PM.

The Pledge of Allegiance was said by all.

A quorum was met.

The Agenda was approved by John Griego and seconded by Ladd Hagmaier.  Motion Carried.

The Minutes for the February 21st meeting were not available.

Joyce gave an update on songs and file maintenance. She has all the songs numbered…she is working on putting two Letters in front to indicate type of music it is, i.e.. jazz, country music, pop, etc.

We are doing maintenance Monday, Wednesday and Friday of each week to see if this will keep us from going off the air.

We discussed record recording on a Mac computer and playing it over the air.  Bill showed us how to do it and record the Alert and then put on air for public.

Treasurer’s Report - John Griego.  Please see attached.  Ladd made motion to accept and Randy seconded.  Motion Carried.

Vice President’s Report - Bill Simms - Bill discussed all the programs he is responsible for and how well they are doing.

President’s Report - Art Swenka - Art is back calling on customers with a bad back. (Art has the bad back.) Moving very slowly.  We continue to add customers; Edgewood Soil & Water has joined us with an extra $3,000 per year for advertising for them.  Claunch-Pinto Soil & Water District is working on coming with us as well.

Peggy Schwebach had no report just stopped by to see what is going on and to catch up.

WE now have WI Power for our studio and Scoop ISP for the office.  We are hoping to bring our Web Site in-house.

We have a new show “Grandpa Joe’s Blues” scheduled for Saturday night at 10PM to 11PM.  We need some work on it, but the music is great!

The next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at 2PM at the Station Office.

Meeting was adjourned at 3:15PM

Respectfully Submitted:                 APPROVED:
