KXNM 88.7FM BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING
JANUARY 17, 2018

PRESENT: ART SWENKA, BILL SIMMS, LADD HAGMAIER, JOHN GRIEGO, BARBARA KINNEY, DIXIE  SWENKA

NOTPRESENT: RHOADA GEDULD, JO ONARHEIM,  NORM ONARHEIM, RANDY WRIGHT, PEGGY  SCHWEBACH

The meeting was called to order by ArtSwenka, Presidential 2PM.

The Pledge of Allegiance was said by all present.

A quorum was met with six present.

A motion was made by Dixie Swenka to accept the Agenda and John Griego seconded.  Motion Passed, 

The motion to accept the November 15, 2017 Minutes was  made by Ladd Hagmaier and seconded by John Griego.  Motion  Passed.

Streaming under New Business was a Demonstration of Streaming by Daniel Boone. Daniel was not present so Art Swenka, President talked about  streaming and what we have learned from Duane@ScoopISP.  Scoop will be furnishing our internet. We will still have WI Power, just in case. They are located in Florida. Scoop is local.  Duane Parker provides internet around Torrance County. This will help  us have someone local and be more reliable.

Bill gave the following report: Bella Niesh, in Moriarty, is giving the Commodity Report now.  Bill and Keith Smith changed all the light bulbs
throughout the building.  Wonderful lighting.  Bill gave us some wonderful information that he got from Butch McGee regarding a book he found, again, about a murder in Duran, New Mexico Law Man 1968.  The four men who attempted a robbery in 1921 were All apprehended by then Sheriff Brock in his Model A vehicle. Dixie Boyle will have her interpretation of the book on Archeology in Your Back yard soon.

Art reported that John Chedester, our engineer, wants a tower guy to go to the tower to do some update...we are losing 500 watts each day.

John Griego gave the Treasurer's Report.  We have changed from Fiscal year to Calendar Yea run our accounting.

Dixie said that the program X-Change should be ready to air on Saturday, January 27 that 10AM with Gail Rossi being the host.

We are also working on a Gun Safety Show to be aired three time per week at 9:30AM on Saturday, 10AM Tuesday and 3:30PM Thursday.
Dixie Swenka asked for a person who speaks and can translate from Spanish to English the show "The Spanish word for the day is"then translate into English and tell something about the word.

The next meeting will beheld on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at 2PM at the KXNM Studios.

We adjourned at 3:20PM.
